Hawaii Celebrates Fall

C&K's Labor Day Weekend Concerts
Hawaii's legendary musicians, Cecilio & Kapono kick off September with "Good Times Together," a two-day concert on Sept. 3 and Sept. 4, 6:00 p.m., at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Great Lawn, 2005 Kalia Road, in Waikiki. The concerts on both days culminate with an amazing fireworks show.
This is the third C&K Back in the Day Annual Concert Series. The past concerts sold out quickly. As in the past, this year's concerts will feature Cecilio & Kapono live along with guest appearances by many Hawaii's premier entertainers.
Concert proceeds and net proceeds from a Golf Tournament will benefit Hawaii's Keiki o Ka Aina Family Learning Centers whose mission is to build communities by building stronger families.

Trumps Affirm Commitment to Hawaii Luxury Properties
Don Trump
Honolulu––With the successful opening of its landmark Waikiki Beach Walk property in 2009, Trump Hotel Collection reaffirmed its interest in Hawaii as a resort destination and its commitment to hotel property development. At a recent press reception, Donald D. Trump, Jr., and Eric Trump, sons of renowned developer Donald Trump, lauded the success of the Beachwalk property and the Trump Hotel Collection. The event was held in the sixth floor lobby of Trump International Hotel (TM) Waikiki Beach Walk(R).
Surrounded by expansive vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the city, Don Trump, Jr., shared the firm's elation over winning this year's Travel Leisure award for "Top Large City Hotel" for Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago. Travel Leisure's annual survey of readers also named the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Big Island as Hawaii's top resort. Four Seasons also was named Hawaii's best hotel spa. See Travel Leisure's announcement for more information on this year's awards. Trump, Jr., described the Waikiki property as a great entry into Hawaii.
Eric Trump, who resembles the senior Trump, said the firm wants to be sure one property is completed and firmly established before starting new projects. However, "I don't think it will be our last in Hawaii," he said.
Eric Trump
"We really enjoy Hawaii's culture. The people are sincere and really believe in Aloha. It resonates throughout the islands," Eric, who has been a frequent visitor since he was a child, said.
According to Eric, the Waikiki Beach Walk property exemplifies the Trump lifestyle, which caters to "high end demographics without being stuffy...people who want the best services and best products at a property that is chic, comfortable, young, and modern." Trump Hotels are well-recognized for elegant, sophisticated properties, which is the reason "We have become a force to contend with within a short time."
"We're always ahead of the curve," Eric said. Trump Hotels is "a family-owned business." That perspective pretty much "guides our destiny...what we think our destiny to be."
Open in November 2009, Trump Hotel's Waikiki Beach Walk property is a 38-story structure with 462 luxury guest rooms. It was the fifth Trump hotel since the firm ventured into hotels and resort development in 1996. Trump International Hotel & Tower New York was the first property developed, followed by properties in Las Vegas, Soho, and Chicago. Future projects are under development at Panama, Toronto, Dubai, Scotland, Cap Cana, and New Orleans.
Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki Beachwalk anchors Waikiki Beach Walk, a popular community of shops and restaurants offering authentic local and international crafts and cuisine. The luxury hotel-condominium is located at 223 Saratoga Road.
Together with their sister Ivanka, the two young Trumps are leading the development and acquisitions for the Trump Organization to which the Hotel Collection belongs. Intelligent, articulate, and polished, Donald and Eric represent the senior Trump well. Eric also heads the Eric Trump Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides personal and financial assistance to children facing life-threatening or debilitating medical conditions.
